“It’s much easier to start when someone else is there.”
Choose one thing you want to move forward. Your comrade gives you a reason to begin now, not later.
A fixed session gives the task a clear beginning and end, so you only have to focus on what’s in front of you.
You set your own intention. Your comrade works alongside you, without checking up on you or telling you what to do.
Work beside another person in real time, with none of the pressure of a meeting, coworker or conversation.
You don’t need someone to do the work for you. You don’t even need to work on the same thing. Sometimes knowing someone else has shown up too makes it easier to begin and follow through.

Here’s what you’ll probably want to know before your first session.
Body doubling and shared focus are well-documented ways people get unstuck. Comrade turns that into a short, structured session with a clear start, a shared timer, and a check-in at the end.
You choose one intention, match with a comrade, work side by side for 25 minutes on your own tasks, then briefly check in on what you got done.
Usually not. The point is quiet parallel focus—not a meeting. You can keep camera and mic settings comfortable for you.
The core work block is 25 focused minutes. Matching and a short check-in sit around that so the session still feels complete without becoming open-ended.
No. Camera is optional. Many people keep video on for presence; others prefer audio-only or muted video. Choose what helps you focus.
If a match is not available right away, you can wait for a partner or use the solo timer so you still get a bounded focus block.
Yes. After a session you can stay in touch and invite people you liked working with again, or keep matching with new comrades.
You can leave a session at any time. Report tools and community guidelines are there so you can flag issues and protect your experience.
